Planning permission is being sought for the development of a new Chapel of Rest in Cavan.
A premises has been secured by O'Reilly Funeral Directors on the Bailieborough Road, Mullagh and the planning application will now be available for observation, purchase, and written submission for 5 weeks from the day of receipt by Cavan County Council.
The application proposes to change the use of the current commercial unit from a beauty salon to a chapel of rest, proposed exterior signage to front elevation, and all ancillary site development works.

Applicants Shane P. and Elisha O'Reilly have stated they are hopeful permission will be granted and that the Chapel and associated facilities will be up and running by the end of this year.
