Power has been restored to over 3,500 people in the region after two major faults.
Almost 1,500 people were left without power in north Monaghan this morning.
ESB Networks reported a major outage in the Emyvale area before 7am but this was repaired shortly afterwards.

Separately, power was restored to over 2,000 customers in the Cavan area.
The major outage affected a part of the town last night.
Electricity there was restored overnight.
