People in north Monaghan are being encouraged to attend a property marking event today.
From 3pm to 5pm, Gardai will be marking personal goods at the Emyvale GAA club grounds.
Items such as tools, garden equipment, trailers or anything that that could be vulnerable to theft can be marked with your Eircode.

Gardaí say having valuable property marked with an Eircode will make it less likely to be stolen, and if stolen, it can be traced back to you.
