Ryanair says the implementation of the EU 'traffic light' system for international travel is too late.

It comes after the airline announced the closure of its bases at Cork and Shannon Airports from November until March next year due to Covid-19 restrictions.

In response, the Department of Transport said that the government will be implementing the EU 'traffic light' system with a decision as to when, next week.
