Two drivers have been arrested in Co Cavan after failing breath tests.
Last weekend, a learner permit holder was detected driving unaccompanied by Bailieborough gardaí.
He then failed a breath test at a mandatory intoxicant testing checkpoint in Virginia.

The driver was arrested and his car was taken off the road.
In a separate incident over the same weekend, Cavan Roads Policing Unit detected a novice driver in Ballyconnell.
He failed a roadside breath test and on arrest, he was found to be well in excess of the drink driving limit.
