Local businesses who missed out on receiving the original Restart grant will now receive payments.
The scheme was set up for businesses reopening after the Covid-19 lockdown to provide funding for safety and other preventative measures to be put in place.
The closing date for the grants was originally set for the end of August, however, the Department closed it early on July 23rd.

Local Senator Robbie Gallagher criticised the decision at the time as many businesses were still gathering the required documents.
He's now welcomed news from the Department that businesses who missed out because of the change will now receive the grants:
