That's a question the Junior Minister for Trade and skills asked a female civil servant during an interview in May 2016.

The workplace relations commission ruled that the question was discriminatory and fined the Waterford TD 7,500.

The Tanaiste says while Fine Gael accept John Halligan's apology she was '"disturbed and disappointed" by his actions.
