Taking on the pothole - a look back in time

In the past few days, we've been contacted by many of you in relation to potholes on routes right across the region.

This week, we decided to take a look back in time and talk about one group who took on the political system in an effort to deal with poor road conditions.

The Cavan roads action group was set up to deal with the scurge of portholes.

In 1991 four candidates were put forward for the local election - it was a landslide victory for all as they topped the poll in each of their respective electoral areas.
