Only a third of people in Cavan and Monaghan said they were admitted to a ward within the HSE's target time of 6 hours.
That's according to HIQA's National Patient Experience Survey which had over 300 local participants.
Overall patients reported a positive experience of hospital care in Cavan and Monaghan however there is definite room for improvement.
