Cavan are looking to make it back to back Ulster final appearances, but standing in their way this Sunday in the semi final is Down.
The Mourne men last contested the decider in 2017 losing out to Tyrone.
It has been a busy return to intercounty action for Cavan as a preliminary round meeting against Monaghan coupled with 2 league fixtures and a provincial quarter final win over Antrim, will see them taking in a 5th competitive game in as many weekends.
Manager Michael Graham noted that the condensed nature of the competitions is taking its toll on his panel.
It has been a relatively easier path for Down, who seen their opening league game with Leitrim been cancelled as Terry Hylands side forfeited the game due to Covid 19, thus allowing the Mourne men to field an inexperienced side against Louth, as their league status was secured.
They got their Ulster championship campaign underway last weekend with a victory over Fermanagh, following a weekends rest between the end of the league and start of the championship.
We will have full live coverage of the game from the Athletic Grounds Armagh on Sunday with thanks to Erne Motor Works, Dublin Road Cavan.
