Crosserlough have made a perfect start to the Hotel Kilmore Cavan senior football championship with two wins from as many games.

Jimmy Higgins’s team followed up a comprehensive triumph over Lavey with another victory over Laragh United winning by 1-16 to 1-13.

The scoring prowess of both sides improved in the second half after a low-key first half which ended four points each.

The Kilnaleck side set the tone for a dominant second half very promptly as Adrian Smith found the net just two minute after the restart.

The victors led by six points with a minute of normal time left before a penalty goal from Paul Smith embellished the scoreboard from Laragh United’s perspective.

Meanwhile, Ramor United got their second win of the campaign beating Shercock by 1-9 to ten points.

It was a tight affair throughout as a first-half goal from Seanie Keogan helped Ramor United to a two-point lead at half-time.

The east Cavan team fought back and were only a point adrift in the third minute of injury time before Jack Doyle scored the insurance point for the 2016 champions.

The final whistle eventually came following 12 minutes of injury time.
