In Cavan, new county champions will be crowned on Saturday evening next after Crosserlough accounted for the defending champions Castlerahan in the first of the semi finals yesterday.

Having finished 1-11 to 14 points after 60 minutes it was Crosserlough who pulled away in extra time to win by 2-16 to 16 points and will now meet Kingscourt who caused somewhat of an upset when they defeated many peoples favourites for the title Cavan Gaels.

The Stars were to 2-12 to 10 point winners in the 2nd of the semi finals.
