Kingdom to strong for Cavan in opening round of Ladies Senior championship

Cavan's journey in the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Ladies football championship began with a 5-14 to 13 points defeat against Kerry in Birr.

The opening quarter was tight and the sides were level at three points each at the first water break.

Two goals after the restart saw Kerry lead 2-7 to six points at the interval.

Cavan matched Kerry's points tally in the second half but goals win matches and the Kingdom added three more resulting in a convincing victory.
