Kingscourt Stars stunned Cavan Gaels as they booked a place in next weekend’s Cavan final with a 2-12 to 10 point victory.
Kingscourt led 1-6 to four points at the break, Paddy Meade’s goal four minutes into first-half injury time putting Kingscourt five points ahead.
Championship favourites Cavan Gaels failed to claw back the deficit with Kingscourt leading 1-9 to eight points at the second water break.

Peter Corrigan put the game beyond doubt on 53 minutes, just four minutes after the second water break with Kingscourt’s second goal as they went onto win by eight points.
Kingscourt Stars will now meet Crosserlough in next Saturday nights final.
