Cavan made the drop to Division 3 of the Football league, but quickly re-grouped to claim an historic Ulster title

Cavan travel to Brewster park on Saturday evening to face Fermanagh in the opening round of Division 3 of the Allianz national football league. It is a fixture in the Northern section of the group which also contains Derry and Longford. Prior to their historic Ulster senior championship success in 2020, the Breffni side suffered relegation from Division 2 before regrouping in the provincial competition. Manager Michael Graham acknowledged the disappointment of having made the drop to the 3rd tier, and while he felt his side were unfortunate to have went down, they had learned a lot about themselves

Throw in for that game on Saturday evening is at 7pm and we will have coverage here on an extended Saturday sport with thanks to Erne Motor Works, Dublin Road Cavan.
