Leona Maguire finishes tied for 13th at women's open

Leona Maguire finished tied for 13^th at the Women’s Open Championship in Carnoustie after a stop start final round.

Maguire shot a one-under-par round 71 as Sweden’s Anna Nordqvist won out on 12 under-par.

The Cavan woman shot four bogey’s on her opening nine holes all on par-four holes at one, two, five and nine to fall out of contention.

Maguire birdied four and the par five sixth. Birdies at 11, 13 and 14 saw Maguire settle for a final place tie at 13.
