Leona Maguire is just two shots off the lead heading into the weekend at the Women’s Open Championship in Carnoustie.
The Cavan golfer shot a 67 at Carnoustie today, to reach halfway stage in five-under par. Maguire posted birdies at four, five, seven, 12 and 14.
The 26-year-old had a bogey free scorecard. Maguire is in a group of seven on five-under-par.

American Mina Harigae and Engalnd’s Georgia Hall jointly lead on seven-under-par. Lizette Salas, Sei Young Kim and Madelene Sagstrom are on six-under-par.
Irish amateur Lauren Walsh shot a 69 today, and will go into the weekend on one-under.
