The countdown is well and truly on to the start of the Allianz national football league this weekend. The meeting of Kerry and Galway on Saturday at 3pm in Austin Stack Park will be the opening fixture in Division 1 South, while Tyrone and Donegal meet in Healy Park Omagh in the Northern Section at 5pm. Sunday will see Roscommon welcoming the All Ireland champions Dublin to Dr. Hyde park at quarter to 2 in Division 1 South, while at 3 o clock Monaghan will face Armagh in Brewster Park in the 2nd of the Northern Group games.
The farney side having had to forfeit home advantage due to a breach of Covid 19 restrictions. Regular GAA pundit and 3 time all star with the county Nudie Hughes, remarked the loss of the home game will be a disadvantage even with the game behind closed doors
