Monaghan and Cavan put their Division 1 and 3 status on the line this weekend when they contest relegation play offs. Monaghan welcome Galway to St Tiernachs Park Clones on Sunday at 3:45 knowing a win will keep them in the top tier for an 8th consecutive year while Galway last contested Division 2 football in 2017. For Cavan the demotion to Division 3 in 2020, was somewhat softened when they claimed an historic Ulster senior championship title. They now however find themselves facing Wicklow with the hope of avoiding the drop to the lowest tier.
