Monaghan hurlers glad to be back after long lockdown

The last outing for Paul Hughes team was in November of 2020

Monaghan get their national league hurling campaign underway this Sunday when they face Tyrone in Healy park Omagh. Having retained their Division 3A status early last year with a victory over Louth in their final game, their followed up championship action in the Nicky Rackard cup. It is still however well over 6 months from their last competitive outing and manager Paul Hughes, remarked that while the players had worked on their physical fitness over the lock down, it is hard to replicate getting matches and competitive action

Throw in for that one is at 2pm
