Ballybay suffered their first defeat of this year’s Greenfield Foods Monaghan Senior Championship losing 0-13 to 0-11 to Castleblayney today.
On Saturday, Clontibret bounced back from their opening round defeat to Ballybay with a 4-15 to 1-10 victory over Monaghan Harps who remain pointless.
Elsewhere, Truagh recorded a convincing victory away to Carrickmacross winning 4-20 to 1-11 while a late comeback saw Iniskeen defeat Magheracloone 1-16 to 1-14 at Grattan Park.
